Update: The trailer for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 has now been released, including a look at mask-based magical powers, wall-running and climbing, giant samurai enemies, and a glimpse of the mighty Godzilla in motion.

The upcoming Fortnite Chapter 6 will add Godzilla and Baymax to the battle royale shooter, developer Epic Games has confirmed with the release of new official artwork.
The King of Monsters and Big Hero Six’s large, huggable figure (though admittedly less cuddly in his armored combat form) both appeared on official artwork shared on social media for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1.

Baymax can be seen flying with his armor and wings deployed, while Godzilla appears to be taking his look from the more recent Western film incarnations. Though given Fortnite’s penchant for skin variations, there’s every chance that his older designs or look in the recent (and excellent) Godzilla Minus One movie could also appear for the mighty kaiju.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 and its associated wave of new content are set to launch this weekend, on December 1. The new chapter has been given the title 鬼 (oni/demon) Hunters. The chapter is leaning into Japanese influences, with Fortnite characters seen wielding what look to be kusarigama, bladed fans, and other intricate weapons. Japanese text on the side of the two promotional artworks released so far encourages players to take on demons with their squad, or declares that a legend is reborn.

The artwork reveal comes after numerous leaks pointed toward a Japanese theming and the inclusion of both Godzilla and Baymax in the upcoming season. Tying into the new season, the Fortnite Crew subscription model will add the Lady of Cranes skin to Fortnite and Lego Fortnite.
Ahead of the launch of Godzilla, Baymax, and Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1, players have the chance to enjoy some live music in-game through the Remix: The Finale event on November 30. The event celebrates the legacy of American rapper and singer-songwriter Juice WRLD with a world premiere of a new track, as well as a new single from Snoop Dogg. A collection of cosmetic rewards are available to anyone who logs in to the game during the build up to the show.
