Merlin will invest more than $110 million in these Minecraft-themed attractions, which will open in the U.S. and U.K. between 2026 and 2027. The exact locations for each attraction have yet to be revealed.
Each attraction will feature a Minecraft-themed ride, as well as retail stores, food and beverage locations, and more. Visitors will also have the opportunity to collect exclusive in-game Minecraft content they can access after their visit.
Following the debut of these initial Minecraft attractions, Merlin will expand the Minecraft experience to additional locations around the world.
Earlier in 2024, Mojang launched its own real-world Minecraft attraction – Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue – in Dallas, Texas. The experience asks visitors to work as a team to complete a quest that will see them travel through real-world versions of multiple Minecraft biomes filled with resources, mobs, and more. The Minecraft Experience will come to other cities in the future.
