Pokemon Go’s Next Season Is Called Dual Destiny

Here’s what you need to know about the next three-month stretch in Pokemon Go.

The next Pokemon Go Season has been revealed. Entitled Dual Destiny, the Season will feature new limited-time events, including Pokemon Go Tour: Unova.

Here’s what you need to know about the Dual Destiny Season in Pokemon Go.

Start and end dates

The Dual Destiny Season will run from December 3, 2024 at 10 a.m. local time until March 4, 2025 at 10 a.m. local time.

New Pokemon added during this Season

Pokemon from the Galar region of the Pokemon universe, such as Sinistea, will be added to Pokemon Go throughout the Season.

Season-long Special Research

Once the Dual Destiny Season begins, players will be able to claim a new Special Research storyline in Pokemon Go. New portions of the Special Research will roll out throughout the Dual Destiny Season.

Premium Eggs-pedition Access tickets

Each month during the Dual Destiny Season, players will have the option to purchase a ticket that gives them access to in-game bonuses and Timed Research. Ticket holders will also receive a free Incubator the first time they spin the Photo Disc at a PokeStop or Gym each day the ticket is active.

Season-long bonuses

Three in-game bonuses will be active throughout the Dual Destiny Season:

  • Players can receive one extra free Raid Pass each day by spinning the Photo Disc at Gyms
  • Players will earn more Stardust from Team Go Rocket battles
  • Players will receive more Stardust from Gifts

Shadow Regirock, Regice, and Registeel

During the Dual Destiny Season, players will be able to battle Shadow Regirock, Shadow Regice, and Shadow Registeel in five-star Shadow Raids. For the first time, these Shadow Pokemon will have the chance to be Shiny. Check out what Shiny Regirock, Shiny Regice, and Shiny Registeel look like in the images below.

Max Pokemon and Max Battles

Dynamax Machop, Dynamax Krabby, Gigantamax Lapras, and other Pokemon will be featured in Max Battles during the Dual Destiny Season.

Community Day events

Here are the dates for the four Community Day events that will take place during Dual Destiny:

  • December Community Day 2024 - December 21-22, 2024
  • January Community Day - January 5, 2025
  • January Community Day Classic - January 25, 2025
  • February Community Day - February 9, 2025

A variety of limited-time events will take place during the Dual Destiny Season in Pokemon Go. This includes Pokemon Go Tour: Unova. Details about this event will be revealed later in November 2024. Check back soon with Restart for all the news you need to know.

Seasonal rotations

When a new Season kicks off in Pokemon Go, different Pokemon begin appearing in the wild and hatching from Eggs. The Pokemon lineup players can encounter when achieving a Research breakthrough also changes. Here are the Pokemon players will be able to encounter throughout the Dual Destiny Season.
