Pokemon Go Mega Mawile Raid Day Brings a New Mega Pokemon to the Game

A new Raid Day event is coming soon to Pokemon Go, which will focus on Mega Mawile.

Here’s what you need to know about this event!

Event date and time

The Mega Mawile Raid Day event will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. local time on Saturday, October 12, 2024.

New Pokemon added with this event

Mega Mawile will be added to Pokemon Go as part of the Mega Mawile Raid Day event.

Mega Raids

Mega Mawile will appear in Mega Raids during this event. There will be an increased chance of encountering Shiny Mawile when completing these Raids.

Event bonuses

Players will be able to collect up to five extra free Raid Passes by spinning the Photo Disc at Gyms during this event. These passes are in addition to the single free Raid Pass players can collect each day, bringing the day’s total to six.

In addition, the game’s Remote Raid limit will be increased to 20 from Friday, October 11, at 5 p.m. PDT until Saturday, October 12, at 8 p.m. PT.

Optional premium event ticket

Players will have the option to spend $5 on a ticket that will give them access to a number of in-game bonuses from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. local time on Saturday, October 12:

  • Ticket holders will be able to collect eight more free Raid Passes from Gyms (bringing the day’s total to 14)
  • 50% more XP when completing Raids
  • 2x Stardust from Raids
  • An increased chance to receive Rare Candy XL from Raids

Optional premium item box

The Mega Mawile Raid Day Ultra Ticket Box will be available to purchase on the Pokemon Go Web Store for $4.99 beginning Monday, October 7, at 10 a.m. PT. It will include the optional event ticket, as well as a Premium Battle Pass.
